If there is a recurring theme in today's first batch of stories I
think are worth looking at, it's Congress going through the motions of being an independent branch of government. Members of both parties will rail against the latest administration outrage, demand investigations and then eventually become shrinking violets, letting the political mobsters of the Bush Administration go on in their crooked and incompetent ways. At this point, I'm about ready to call
for the defeat of every incumbent up for election this year. Congress -- do your f@@king jobs. On another note, it's with great glee that I see the story on my old arch-enemy Wal-Mart giving more insight to how this evil empire thinks.
