Is Hezbollah Or Israel The Real Terrorists?
Okay, so Israel has been struggling to survive in the Middle East among some of the most hostile conditions any nation has ever faced. Many nations surrounding the tiny little nation are still technically at war or in some form of conflict with it. Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Yemen, Bahrain, Kuwait and other Persian/Arabian Gulf States will refuse admittance of anyone that has been to Israel (per their passport/visa stamps).
And, okay, Isreal has been dealing with terrorist attacks declared by the PLO, Hezbollah, and a dozen other Syrian- or Iranian-backed groups that do not assert their claims against Israel in a legal manner. These bastards prefer killing innocent people under the banner of "jihad" (which is a perversion of the teachings of Muhammed and the words of the Koran because the Koran and Hadith speak to letting the "People of the Book" live in peace). They use indiscriminate bombings, suicide bombers that are usually very young children or brainwashed youth, and plain old nut cases that are convinced that their cause is so just and righteous--by way of an ultra-conservative, hyper-religious ideology similar to that we see in our own Christian Right--that killing innocent women, children, school children, college students, shoppers in the market, commuters on the way to work and people gathered to worship God is justified in their warped little minds.
But is the government of Israel any different? They use a cannon to swat at flies. While seeking a handful of rogue terrorists that are clearly mentally imbalanced, lacking moral character, acting outside of the laws of God, they indiscriminately raze villages, imprison Palestinian leadership, invade seceded lands given up as part of the peace negotiations (which they did not want to surrender), and violate international law and the sovereignty of a nation by invading it. Can Israel really claim a right to invade a nation whose government is not supporting terrorism, but is as much a victim of these rogue bastards as is Israel?
Why does Israel invade the nations responsible for funding, supplying and egging these heinous criminal acts? We know that Hezbollah and other such groups are supported, supplied and/or funded by Syria, Iran and Suadi Arabia. We know it because our intelligence network, the Israeli intelligence network and the various intelligence networks of NATO and the EU have confirmed it over the years.
So, why invade Lebanon? The answer is easy to derive from the facts, once closely examined. Israel can barely support its own economy in most years. Its governmental leadership is based upon a fragile coalition among factious groups, most of whom are ultra-conservative, rigid in their thinking, hyper-religious and only out for their own interests and ideologies (sounds like our own Christian Right). Picking a fight with Syria would be costly in terms of financial costs, casualties and time. Picking a fight with Iran would require crossing the borders and/or air space of other sovereign nations that are just waiting for an excuse to team up against Israel once again... and would not hesitate to take swift retalitory action. But Lebanon has been so busy trying to restore its sovereignty, infrasturcture, peace and leadership that it has not placed a lot of emphasis upon building an effective military force to drive the Israelis back onto their own soil.
But the Israelis are only following the lead of the US. We invaded Iraq on falsified, manipulated and misleading information trumped up by the current administration. So, too, has Israel invaded Lebanon in the same manner. The spin on information being fed to the world about this situation is one of polemic ideology... and the turth is that both sides of the conflict are such as evil, heinous and criminal. Our invasion of Iraq was a criminal affair--and George W. Bush should be tried as a war criminal not only for violating international law, the sovereignty of a nation without provocation, but also for sending our own troops into the battlefield without proper equipment, supplies or a plan to effectively end the hostilities. The Bush administration has violated several provisions of three (or more) international treaties, signed and ratified by the US, in direct violation of the "treaties clause" of our Constitution.
But Mr. Bush has spoken out in full support of Israel. There is no wonder that he has because his entrenched ideology is of the same ilk as those that currently lead the Israeli government. But the fact that the ultra-conservative Christian Right has followed his way of thinking and publicly come out in full endorsement not only of Israel, but of Bush's support of Israel, while claiming that what Israel is doing is in the best interests of the United States because Hezbollah is a direct threat to our national security...
Seriously, Jay Sekulow, Director of the ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice), has sent out an e-mail asking the ultra-conservative Christian Right to sign a petition in support of Bush and Israel because Israel is acting to protect our national security:
The problem here is that Jay Sekulow--and his ultra-conservative cohorts--do not recognize that there has been an all-out war in the Middle East since 1948. While there have been times where the direct conflicts have subsided, and some nations have worked out peace agreements, most of the Arab states surrounding Israel have remained in a conflict status--if not a state of war--for decades. Perhaps we should just let Israel and its enemies duke it out and let the chips fall as they may because the decades of intervention, intercession and negotiation we have supported has not gotten either side to deal with each other in anything less than a terror modality. We should withdraw our financial, arms and military support of Israel completely, place a quarantine around beligerent states, and let them duke it out. That is how we have dealt with Somalia, Darfur, Rowanda--and those folks needed our intervention. Israel, however, has one of the best equipped, best trained military organizations in the world. Let them take this on their own and let us pick up the pieces after the dust settles... and let's pursue prosecution of anyone, from either side of the conflict, that violates laws against humanity... even George W. Bush.
Let us not forget that Sekulow is a convert from Judaism and may have financial interests at stake in these matters. He obviously conducts some sort of business in Israel, so there is reason to assume a financial interest... even if it is merely in his role as the director of ACLJ. That piece of information seems to have escaped Sekulow's propaganda e-mail.
Against Israel? Did Lebanon invade Israel? NO! Israeli troops and weaponry invaded Lebanese soil without just cause under international law. The Lebanese government did not invite them. The Lebanese people did not give them permission to pursue Hezbollah or any other rogue group onto their sovereign soil. Hezbollah is primarily a Palestinian group, recognized by the Palestinians as a majority party in its government... Israel may have some justification for entering Palestinian held territory to hunt down specific and clearly identified suspects, but invading Lebanon is an act or war and an act of terror on the part of Israel.
Is Sekulow really suggesting that we should support the violation of international laws and institutionalized terrorism? I thought he was a lawyer? I thought his organization had a specific mission for "law" and "justice"? It sounds like he doesn't even grasp the concepts of law or justice.
Why the hell is he butting his nose into this arena? ACLJ and Sekulow doesn't have any legitimate standing to be involved with "U.S. officials" in regard to these matters. Who the hell does he think he and the ACLJ are?
Okay, demonstrate to us how this is the case? I have studied the Middle East for years. I have worked in the Arab parts of the Middle East and lived in Bahrain, among Arabs from all parts of the Middle East. I have experience working and living with people from Bahrain, Oman, Dubai (UAE), Jordan, Syria, Kuwait, Lebanon, Palestine and Israel. I cannot arrive at the same conclusion based on the facts and my experience. I dare the ACLJ and/or Jay Sekulow to demonstrate the factual basis of this ideologically motivated conclusion.
Obviously, ACLJ/Sekulow is not going to get my name on such a proclmation. I hope he won't get yours either.
What experience provides us with that knowledge? This is nothing less than an emotional plea form of propaganda.
This plea for support has nothing to do with religious freedom, personal liberties of Israel's battle against terrorism... it is unadulterated, fully entrenched ideology in its most base form.
Not gonna happen...
The message I am trying to get out is that Bush, ACLJ, Sekulow and the Christian Right that follows this line of entrenched ideology are brain dead and should see a neurologist so that they can stop shoveling this extremist bovine excrement.
You're welcome... but I am surprised this e-mail wasn't ended with "Amen!"

It is not "just a story" on the evening news. The violence is real. The innocent lives taken are real. The bombs ... rockets ... missiles ... and air strikes are real.
The conflict between Hezbollah terrorists and Israel is quickly escalating to an all-out war.
The problem here is that Jay Sekulow--and his ultra-conservative cohorts--do not recognize that there has been an all-out war in the Middle East since 1948. As I was leaving Israel for our law offices in Strasbourg, France, the intensity of the attacks along the northern border of Israel was increasing significantly.
While the people of Israel have endured - and are accustomed to - the continuous conflict, this latest situation is perhaps the most severe threat in over a decade.
Let us not forget that Sekulow is a convert from Judaism and may have financial interests at stake in these matters. He obviously conducts some sort of business in Israel, so there is reason to assume a financial interest... even if it is merely in his role as the director of ACLJ. And even though it is taking place thousands of miles away from America - and doesn't involve U.S. citizens or our military ...
... what is happening in Lebanon today against Israel is our concern.

So do not close this email before you add your name to our Proclamation for Solidarity to President Bush in support of Israel and their fight for freedom!
Is Sekulow really suggesting that we should support the violation of international laws and institutionalized terrorism? I thought he was a lawyer? I thought his organization had a specific mission for "law" and "justice"? It sounds like he doesn't even grasp the concepts of law or justice.
I have met with our European Center for Law and Justice staff concerning the international reaction to Israel's defense, and I have instructed our Washington, D.C., office to take immediate action as well.
Our legal team in Washington is in contact with U.S. officials to show solidarity and support for the nation of Israel.
Why the hell is he butting his nose into this arena? ACLJ and Sekulow doesn't have any legitimate standing to be involved with "U.S. officials" in regard to these matters. Who the hell does he think he and the ACLJ are?
Please understand: this recent wave of terrorism and violence in the Middle East is a direct threat to our freedom as Americans. The ongoing aggression against Israel could even prevent America from building a coalition to fight against terrorist strongholds in Iraq and elsewhere.
Our freedom is literally at stake!
This is why I need YOUR name added to our Proclamation ... to send a strong message to the White House about where we, as Americans, stand on this issue. Terror MUST be destroyed wherever it surfaces.
Obviously, ACLJ/Sekulow is not going to get my name on such a proclmation. I hope he won't get yours either.
As we know from experience, when terrorists are allowed to thrive in any nation, we are ALL THREATENED. Any attack on Israel is an attack on freedom - and freedom attacked anywhere is freedom attacked everywhere.
What experience provides us with that knowledge? This is nothing less than an emotional plea form of propaganda.
This is why we cannot turn our backs on Israel. For the sake of religious freedom, for the sake of personal liberties, we must support Israel's battle against terrorists.
This plea for support has nothing to do with religious freedom, personal liberties of Israel's battle against terrorism... it is unadulterated, fully entrenched ideology in its most base form.
Join me in letting President Bush and our leaders know that we support Israel and stand with them in the ongoing struggle against terrorism. PLEASE SIGN OUR PROCLAMATION FOR SOLIDARITY on behalf of the State of Israel.
Not gonna happen...
We must stand united in our resolve, so please use the online forward-to-friend tool to alert your friends and family as well. Get the message out to anyone who believes in freedom and liberty. We need as many signatures as possible to show strong support for what is right ... for freedom.
The message I am trying to get out is that Bush, ACLJ, Sekulow and the Christian Right that follows this line of entrenched ideology are brain dead and should see a neurologist so that they can stop shoveling this extremist bovine excrement.
Thank you!
You're welcome... but I am surprised this e-mail wasn't ended with "Amen!"
